Fu's Garden

Most of the food was good except for the fried rice. They have limited vegetarian dishes but their sauces are good. Our favorite was broccoli with garlic sauce and Lo Mein.

The combination fried rice was superb....I feel it is the best tasting fried rice. Cooked to perfection..the meal was light and perfect seasoned, light and crispy beef and chicken. Shrimp was perfect.

Fu’s Garden – Great Lunch Spot with Friendly Service and Comforting Food I recently visited Fu’s Garden for lunch and had an overall great experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful, low-key spot to enjoy a tasty and affordable meal, this place is definitely worth checking out. First off, the customer service was excellent. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, making it a great place to grab lunch if you need a break from the usual hustle. The orange chicken was the star of the meal for me. I asked for it extra crispy because I’m a little picky about chicken texture, and they nailed it—it had great flavor and the perfect crunch. Their fried rice was also delicious—well-seasoned and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a satisfying combo, that’s a great way to go. As for the soup and spring rolls, they weren’t really my thing. The soup just didn’t hit the mark for me personally, and the spring rolls were okay, but nothing memorable. I also tried the dumplings, which were pretty good, but they only offered pork dumplings. Since I’m not a big fan of pork, I struggled with them a bit, though I could still tell they were well-made. The restaurant itself is very clean, and I really appreciated that. The tables were super cute—a nice little detail that made the space feel cozy and charming. While the interior might be a little outdated, I actually enjoyed the look. It has that kind of nostalgic, old-school charm that makes you feel at home. All in all, Fu’s Garden is a solid choice for a casual, affordable lunch with good food and great service. If you’re into classic Chinese-American dishes and a relaxed setting, it’s definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back for that orange chicken and fried rice for sure!

Small, family owned restaurant. The staff was kind and attentive. I didn’t have to ask for a booster seat, they automatically offered one which I appreciate. The food was hot and tasted homey, not too much like commercial Asian American food. I will return.

Fu’s Garden has the best Hunan / Chinese food in Houston! Family owned & operated, always super nice with excellent customer service. I love that whole menu is MSG free. The family dinner comes with choice of soup; spring roll, shrimp toast, fried crab ragoon & choice of entree. Love this restaurant :)

Their appetizers are excellent: try their pork dumplings and spare ribs! Atmosphere is great too!

Honest review * I have been here many times. I want to compliment the servers ( angel & nino) maybe I’m spelling it wrong but they are amazing. They are so welcoming. The Asian lady and man in the front are rude and cheap. Sorry to tell you the truth but why would I lie. They like to save their extra 5 cents vs making a customer happy. Especially the lady. Anytime she’s there it’s bad vibes. I go for the food and waiters because they are just so awesome. Anyways 5 star service but I am putting 4 stars because it’s not that perfect with the people in the front. I stopped ordering take out because she always wants to be complaining about adding one extra spicy sauce to go. Apparently it costs them hundreds of dollars ( I’m exaggerating) but come on now.
